Improve your Flexibility, Mobility, Health & Longevity

What good is having strength in the gym if you don’t have the ability to move freely in your daily life? What’s the value in being able to complete a workout as fast as you can if you’re always sore and in pain for days after? Our unique Kinstretch & Movement classes incorporate a variety of methods and techniques including Functional Range Conditioning (FRC), Ido Portal Method, and Kinstretch. The classes are specifically designed to:

  1. Improve your flexibility
  2. Improve your mobility
  3. Develop tissue resilience
  4. Improve articular joint function, health & longevity
  5. Mitigate injuries
  6. Educate you on how improve your mobility and movement intelligence in your daily life

The material you will learn in these class will teach you the importance of healthy joint mobility and movement in your daily life. You will learn how to perform Controlled Articular Rotations (CAR’s) which, when performed on a daily basis, will give you an opportunity to assess your own movement limitations.

You will also learn scientific principles and protocols to increase your joint range of motion and at the same time help you build strength and control within this new range. We incorporate teachings from our movement teachers from the Ido Portal Company and Functional Range Systems (FRS), to appropriately condition your joints and soft tissues and prepare them to handle loads. This knowledge is essential to improve how you move, mitigate the severity of a possible injury, and to ensure long term, sustainable health.

We are also the first and only certified Kinstretch provider in the Tri-Cities. When you are ready to take your mobility to the next level, we will guide you through multiple base positions while using FRC protocols. This class is perfect for dancers, gymnasts, and athletes that need to increase their movement capacity, movement capability, strength, and performance, all while creating a foundation that will help to mitigate injury.

These classes aren’t all about improving joint mobility. We also incorporate coordination games, Kinetic Koans (movement riddles), locomotion, floor communication, and hand balancing. Your mind and body will be challenged and you’re definitely going to learn something new each class. We practice and teach these movement principles as we learned them from the Ido Portal Company and we also incorporate additional knowledge from other teachers we’ve learned over the years including: Kirsty Grosart (aka Garage Gym Girl), Sasha Bachman, Simon Ata (aka Simonster Strength), Gold Medal Bodies, Yuri Marmerstein. You can be sure that what you will learn in Movement Class will successfully help you achieve mobility, strength, mental sharpness, and the capacity to move your body like you never thought possible. Did we mention it’s super fun? You do not require previous gymnastics experience to attend this class. All you need is patience and the willingness to put in the work
