I joined Engineered Bodies 5 months ago. Prior, I tried different gyms and exercise programs but I was not consistent or motivated to stick to any one thing. Originally, the thought of doing Cross Fit really intimidated me! Anthony Is very knowledgeable on fitness and health and his coaching team are the real deal! They are professional, supportive and encouraging. Anthony has incorporated innovative Movement and Mobility classes that are so important to take in addition to Cross Fit. It helps to reduce possible injury. They offer Olympic Lifting classes and more! There is a very authentic sense of community. I feel like the members and staff are my friends and family. We support and encourage each other and celebrate our successes. We even hang out outside the box. I'm getting stronger, toned, muscular, and and more fit. I can not even imagine going anywhere else. I'm so happy I made this very positive healthy change in my life!❤💪

Engineered Bodies is the only place where I've felt like I can improve myself every day, just by showing up. It's not just a gym - it's a community where support, friendship and excellent coaching come together to make you grow.I started working out at Engineered Bodies about a year ago. I wasn't in the best shape - running occassionally and surviving a hike now and then.During the intake program, Anthony explained his philosophy about building a strong foundation of movement quality. In principal, I agreed with with him. It made sense - do the techniques properly and you won't get injured and you will become stronger. However, at the time I didn't realize the confidence that would come with proper training. It was also surprising that despite how challenging the workouts could feel, my body would continue to adapt without pain or injury.When I started, I couldn't do a single push-up. Now, not only can I do push-ups, but, among many other things, I'm learning handstands, I can lift over 100 lbs over my head - and I feel energetic and happy while doing it.Each coach at Engineered Bodies has a unique and valuable perspective to shape you with. They make an effort to provide individual attention to each client. You will feel like they genuinely care about your physical and mental success.I highly recommend trying out Engineered Bodies - their focus on movement quality and client success is unparalleled.

In my early 40's and having waited for both my children to be at school before pursuing an all-round fitness program, I was keen to find somewhere that would meet my needs (no experience of strength training, lacking motivation, unsure CrossFit would suit me, etc). I saw the Google reviews for Engineered Bodies - which seemed too good to be true - threw caution to the wind and arranged a consultation with owner, Anthony. I am so pleased I did! The Google reviews were absolutely correct! It was immediately obvious that Anthony was a highly-qualified professional who was passionate about helping people achieve their fitness goals.A month after joining Engineered Bodies, having gone through a thorough induction, and now understanding the philosophy of 'progressions' (mastering each stage of a skill one at a time) I'm not sure how I ever thought I'd get anywhere with my fitness anywhere else! In a short space of time I have already noticed gains - I'm stronger, more toned and have more energy. These results are directly attributable to Anthony and his team. I have always stayed reasonably fit through hiking but I have never felt this good in my life!With Engineered Bodies it is easier to stay motivated because sessions take place in an energy-filled group environment (with an awesome community of people from all ages and stages of training). I love the group training sessions! If you want to be the 'best you' - you just have to show up! The training program for each specific session has already been carefully researched, designed, and prepared for you by professional coaches/educators. The coaches are great motivators who, crucially, oversee and tutor you on proper technique.Another aspect of Engineered Bodies which seems to set them apart from other CrossFit gyms is their commitment to offering regular Movement Classes. These classes really compliment the strength-building classes and highlights their fundamental approach to helping improve all-round fitness and mobility.I cannot recommend Engineered Bodies highly enough. Two plus years ago, my wife and son had to put my socks and shoes on as my back was such a mess. Anthony gave me correctives that my 8 visits in the previous month to the chiropractor couldn't fix. Incredible coaching, great nutritional information, movement fundamentals you don't get anywhere, and the best atmosphere at any box you will find. I tested every gym in Port Moody and am so glad I found this place. I am pushing more weights than I could ever imagine and am feeling the best I ever have. Love this place !!!!

Engineered Bodies is a gym that sets itself apart. The first day I walked in, I was welcomed instantly. It was clear right away that community is a major priority to the coaches as well as the clients. There is a strong focus on healthy movement and proper form and the coaches are always prepared to ensure that the clients are working safely and progressively. They are passionate about training and it is clear through their interactions and attention to detail that they really love what they do.As a mentorship student, I have been fortunate enough to work with Anthony on furthering my career as a fitness professional. He has a great understanding of the industry and has given me many tools to work with in order to move forward with my career goals. Mentorship sessions cover everything from business and marketing, to training techniques and continuing education. Proper movement form and quality are a focus point during sessions discussions. There is also an emphasis on proper and in depth screening protocols, something that does not always get touched on in most fitness courses. Anthony has been incredibly encouraging and helpful in guiding me to become a confident, and knowledgable trainer. It is clear I could not have picked a better mentor and facility to start my path with.
