Lance Deza

Lance is a husband, father and lover of all sports and fitness. Having played college basketball for four years in Alberta, he later found an admiration for CrossFit. While working toward and eventually earning himself a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Lance worked in the Medical Health Care industry. Working as a Care-Aid for many years helped Lance realize his passion for wanting to connect with people before they became ill or incapable of movement. Lance met his wife after graduating from University. She lived in Vancouver so Lance made the move back and shortly thereafter he further earned BCRPA Registered Personal Trainer and CrossFit Level 1 certifications. At a young age, Gymnastics and Martial Arts were his main focus, until basketball and track became more appealing. His love for “the game” has not only pushed him to learn the ins-and-outs of the sport, in-depth, it’s served as motivation for him to continue working on his basketball skills and to educate others about the sport and fitness, generally. Training and coaching has always been a part of Lance’s life. He strives to help others reach their goals in any way that he can – always exploring new, effective and fun ways to move the body.

Lance has been Coaching Personal & Group classes for 3 years in the health and fitness industry. And today, he is still engaged in local competitive basketball men’s leagues. From time to time, Lance also enjoys competing in local CrossFit sporting events.

Lance loves spending time with his family and friends (especially when they watch him play basketball, ha), pretending to break dance and listening to his wife sing karaoke. After 15 years, he continues to help and provide assistance with in-home care of elderly patients.
