Youth Training Camp
We are excited to offer a week-long training camp for kids age 8 to 14. The training camp will take students (ages 8-14 years old) through the curriculum from our Learn To Train stage of our Long Term Athletic Development program where our certified and experienced coaches educate our students how to safely strength train in a gym.
Kids will learn how to properly execute basic calisthenic exercises like push-ups, pull-ups, and their progressions. They will also learn how to properly execute basic barbell movements like squats, deadlifts, and even more technical movements like the snatch and clean and jerk using dowels and light weights. Students learn about basic anatomy and physiology, the importance of healthy joint mobility, and the purpose and benefits of strength training in the gym. Additionally, kids will learn mobility exercises that will help to improve their flexibility and mobility and help them mitigate injury.
